Markdown Style Formatting

#On New Lines

Type the following at the beginning of an empty line, then press Space:

  • *, -, or + : Bulleted list
  • [] : To-do checkbox (Note: just the characters, no Cmd/Ctrl)
  • 1. : Numbered list
  • # : H1 heading
  • ## : H2 heading
  • ### : H3 heading
  • > : Toggle list
  • " : Quote block
  • --- : Divider (three hyphens)
  • : Code block (three backticks)

#Inline

  • Wrap text with ** or __ for Bold.
  • Wrap text with * or _ for Italics.
  • Wrap text with ~ for Strikethrough.
  • Wrap text with ` for inline code.
